Andrew is a Director and CEO of Helix Player Management. Helix manages a wide range of sportswomen and men across Australia. Andrew played club cricket for Kensington in the Adelaide district competition and is involved in many aspects of national sports including the Darren Lehmann Cricket Academy
Andrew worked at the SACA for 7 years across development and school programs and established Impact Sports Management (IMS) in 1999 – designed to provide professional program development to sports/schools/ clubs. IMS was bought out by athletes1 in 2001 and Andrew became a director of the Australian business. In 2007, athletes1 was acquired by the Essentially Group whose chairman was prominent Formula 1 Lawyer, Sir John Byfield. The Essentially group was responsible for signing over 75% of the International Players into the newly formed Indian Premier League and the group was acquired by CSM Sport & Entertainment, one of the world’s largest Sports and Entertainment agencies. In 2018, Andrew established Helix Player Management. He is recognised as one of Australia’s leading sports managers.
Andrew became one of the first ACA Accredited Cricket Agents and helped establish an Accreditation Board and was an initial Board Member and launched the X-Sports Program into schools in South Australia in 2002 with sponsorship from MILO – seeing over 25,000 school kids annually. In 2005/06, the Internationally Renowned Darren Lehmann Cricket Academy was launched– with one of the first scholars being Monty Panesar.
Peter is a Director of Brisbane-based national stockbroking firm Morgans Financial Ltd. Growing up in Melbourne, Peter played Aussie rules in school suburban leagues and regional under-age competitions. His interests moved more to cricket, joining the Old Paradians Cricket Club in the VTCA competition. He enjoyed assisting in all aspects of the club, serving on the club’s committee in all roles, and eventually as President. He also served as the Executive of the VTCA as committee and treasurer.
Moving to Queensland for work in 2000 with his wife, he continued his interest in cricket and played cricket in Lew Cooper’s Queensland Cricketer’s Club Over 40s side and had great experiences in several overseas trips. Peter also played with West’s Cricket Club’s over 40s team. He has served on the QCC committee and greatly values supporting various charity efforts from the Qld groups: Bulls Masters and Burge XI, and as far afield as Ingham juniors. Peter is a Life Member of Old Paradians CC (Plenty Valley CC) and Wanderers (Qld) CC.
Jimmy is the Managing Director of the Bulls Masters and has been the key driver in the growth and success of the organisation over the past decade.
Born at Innisfail, Queensland, Jimmy is one of the great Queensland cricketing success stories, firstly as a batsman in the first-ever winning Sheffield Shield title in 1994/95. All up Jimmy played for 15 seasons for Queensland, making just over 9,000 Shield runs, playing 6 winning shield finals including one as Captain in 2005/06. Jimmy also played in three winning domestic one-day finals for Qld including as captain in 2006/07.
Jimmy also played 26 ODIs for Australia between 1998 and 2003, being a squad member of Australia’s ICC World Cup win in South Africa in 2003.
Jimmy has remained a popular sporting identity since retirement, being heavily engaged in the Bulls Masters, traveling the length and breadth of Queensland promoting the game, and supporting past player involvement and community engagement
Ken is the Business Development Manager for the Queensland Bulls Masters, an organisation that engages past Queensland players to foster and develop cricket in all areas of Queensland. Many Qld regional areas and charities have benefitted from the Bulls Masters activities over the years.
Ken played as an Australian Under 19 representative. He then crafted a 17 Year First Grade Career in Brisbane and gained selection for Queensland in 1991/92. A training accident in January 1993 effectively ended the possibility of extending his First-Class career. He is now the Director of Cricket and Head Coach at Norths Cricket Club in Brisbane, where their First and Second Grade teams were crowned Premiers for Season 2017/18 – a feat that had not been down since 1971. The Club has just been crowned Club Champions in 2020/21, so the run continues.
When time permits, he is mostly seen on the golf course at Links Hope Island on the Gold Coast, where he continues to strive for something in that game he will never get!!!
As a 17-year-old, Darren made his Sheffield Shield debut for South Australia at the hallowed MCG in 1987, going on to be the leading run-scorer in Sheffield Shield Cricket upon his retirement in November 2007. Darren also played 27 Tests and 117 ODIs for his country and was an important member of the Australian side that won the 1999 and 2003 ICC World Cups. Darren is also one only of two overseas life members of the Yorkshire County Cricket Club (the other is Sir Donald Bradman), averaging 68.76 with 26 centuries in 88 matches, which also won the 2001 County Championship.
Not long after his long-playing career came to an end, Darren embarked on coaching, steering Queensland to the Sheffield Shield title in 2011/12, while in 2012/13 he grabbed a double, as Queensland won the 50-over title, and the Brisbane Heat took out the Big Bash League.
He then had a sudden start to his International coaching career, taking on the Australia job in mid-2013, helping the team to five-nil Ashes win in 2013/14, his job at Cricket Australia continuing until March 2018. Since 2019/20, Darren has been Coach of the Brisbane Heat, who won two knockout finals before being eliminated to finish third in 2020/21 – their equal best position since winning in 2012/13.
